Wollongong Women’s Information Service  provides a range of Domestic Violence support services for women including:

Information, Referral, Resources on issues relating to Domestic Violence, Support Groups, Health, Apprehended Violence Orders

Domestic Violence Specialist Worker available by appointment to meet with women to discuss all issues relating to domestic violence. Please contact us on 4228 1499 or at wwis@wwis.org.au for further information or to make an appointment

Crisis Support for women experiencing Domestic Violence issues, either by phone or face to face contact

Support Groups for women including Postive Relationships groups and self esteem groups. Please contact the centre for details of the upcoming groups

Court Advocacy through the Illawarra Women’s Domestic Violence Court Advocacy Service (IWDVCAS) (funded by Legal Aid NSW) for women seeking an ADVO. For more information go to the IWDVCAS page here or ring us on 4228 1499

Free legal representation
at court through the Domestic Violence Practitioners Scheme, for women seeking private ADVO’s who are eligible for legal aid and are an existing client of the Court Advocacy Service (above). Free advice is also available at court for women with Police initiated ADVO’s on matters such as Family Law, Child Support, Victims Compensation, and Property, upon referral from the Court Advocacy Service
